Psychologist

Dr. Dorit Whiteman is a licensed psychologist with many years of experience.   She was a founder and for over twenty years Director of the Department of Psychology of the Flushing Hospital Mental Health Clinic in New York City, where she earned a reputation for psychotherapy leadership.  She served as President of the Nassau County Psychological Association in Long Island, New York and as an editorial consultant for the journal "Psychotherapy."

Dr. Whiteman is a member of the American Psychological Association, New York State Psychological Association, Nassau County Psychological Association, Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy, and Obsessive Compulsive Foundation.

She has a clinical and consulting private practice in Queens, New York for  

  •   adults of all ages (18 and up)

and helps them overcome

  •  problems of everyday living (with work, school, romantic relationships, marriage, family, personal development and fulfillment)
